YAHWEH – I AM

This month, we just dropped our newest tee – The YAHWEH Tee.
But what does YAHWEH mean? It is the Hebrew name for God, meaning “I am.”

Who is God to us? He is our Saviour, Protector, Healer, and Provider…and that’s just a few things He is to us. It is so important that as we embark on this mission to share Jesus with the world, we know and understand who we represent.

The Power Behind the Name “YAHWEH”

The name YAHWEH first appears in the Bible when God speaks to Moses through the burning bush.

In Exodus 3:14, God responds to Moses’ question about His name by saying:
“I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’”

He continues:
“Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, the name you shall call me from generation to generation.”

This isn’t just a name—it’s a declaration. It means that God is self-existent, eternal, and unchanging. He doesn’t depend on anything or anyone. He simply is.

YAHWEH is not limited by time, circumstance, or human understanding. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

“I AM” – What That Means for Us

When God says “I AM,” it speaks directly into every area of our lives.

  • When you feel lost, He says: I AM your guide
  • When you feel weak, He says: I AM your strength
  • When you feel broken, He says: I AM your healer
  • When you feel alone, He says: I AM with you

His name is not just something we say—it’s something we experience.

YAHWEH meets us exactly where we are, and He becomes exactly what we need.

The Name That Saves

The revelation of YAHWEH in the Old Testament points us directly to Jesus in the New Testament.

In Acts 4:12, it says:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

The same God who declared “I AM” made a way for salvation through Jesus. This reminds us that God is not distant—He is personal, and He is our Savior.

YAHWEH is not just a name to understand—it’s a name that saves.

Representing His Name

As believers, we carry His name everywhere we go. That’s not something to take lightly.

To represent YAHWEH means:

  • Living with integrity even when no one is watching
  • Showing love in a world that often chooses hate
  • Walking in faith when things don’t make sense
  • Reflecting Christ in our words, actions, and lifestyle

People may never open a Bible—but they will see how we live. We are called to be a reflection of who He is.

More Than a Tee

The YAHWEH Tee isn’t just clothing—it’s a statement.

It’s a reminder:

  • Of who God is
  • Of who He has been in your life
  • Of who He will continue to be

Every time you wear it, you’re not just putting on a design—you’re carrying a message. A message that points people back to the One who simply says:

“I AM.”

Final Thought

Understanding the name YAHWEH changes everything. It shifts our perspective from focusing on our limitations to trusting in His limitless nature.

So as you step out—whether in faith, in purpose, or even just in your daily routine—remember this:

The same God who calls Himself “I AM” is with you. Always.
